About Caltom Properties
Owners Calvin Lusby and Tommy Sowyers had a vision to provide visitors and outdoor enthusiast clean and cozy places to stay. Thus came the opportunity to cease this vision. The home that was to become “The Bear’s Den Lodge” was purchased in 2023 by Calvin and Tommy. They Later purchased another property minutes away from Bussey Brake Reservoir.
After some renovations and a little hard work on both properties, the purchased homes were converted into what is now The Bear’s Den Lodge and Bussey Brake Lodge. The most appealing aspect of both properties were and still are their proximity to Poverty Point Reservoir and Bussey Brake Reservior and not to mention all of the other unique things to do in Delhi, Louisiana and Bastrop Louisiana.
